I am attending my second ever library conference next week. The sad thing is the thing I am most excited about it getting a break from my branch. The most ridiculous things have happened in the past 6 months and I am happy to let someone else be in charge for a few days.

Do you ever think BF and GF get super emotional when he's soft with them? This guy, known for his fuckin' Bite with an attitude developed partially for self-defense, melting at their touch and allowing them to see his more gentle side? Something that nobody else will ever get to see?

The demon and the rapper are nice by default. Boyf can be a bit of a menace and Girlf is not afraid to show her demonic side when necessary, but they're kind to others as a default, maybe even to a fault. Not that Pico doesn't ever show kindness to others, but he's usually prickly and standoffish; his kindness could come off in ways that read almost as passive aggression. And yet, around the two idiots (used affectionately lol) he's like putty in their hands.

Anyways idk what I'm on abt really I just think if you gave him the choice he would literally melt into their embraces. Safe, and protected in their arms; for once, he isn't the one who has to do the protecting. I think the worst part of a hug to him would be having to let go.

Your friend’s dad Mr. Rosinante who’s really goofy and silly and corny but also really charming and kinda hot and you have a little crush on him which is obvious to your friend who thinks it’s so gross. And you make little flirty comments to him when your friend leaves the room and he gets really flustered and acts like he doesn’t know you’re into him but he knows and he tells you how pretty you are and how any guy your age would be lucky enough to have you.

And one day you stop by bc it’s normal to be at your friend’s house and wait for them to return when they’re not there and he’s home and he’s just cooked a warm meal and he offers you a plate and invites you to join him in the living room. And you sit side by side on the couch at a respectable distance of course until he spills some sauce on his shirt and you lean over to help him clean it up. And as your warm body presses into his, his hands shake and he drops his plate with the rest of the food on the floor and you tell him to leave it. And he says you shouldn’t do this, you’re his child’s friend and it’s not right and you begin to back off but he grabs your wrist and wipes a stray crumb from your lip. And as your eyes face off in a sultry duel he leans forward and captures your lips with his, and you slip your tongue into his mouth.

Eventually he has you on your back on the couch and your shirts have slipped off. His head is between your legs and his serpentine tongue is slithering along your heat until you hear the click of the door being unlocked…

actually so crazy when you think about it like. random scientists came to her saying “hey we think your entire family was raptured because of the location they were in” and she’s like “i was in the kitchen with them” and the scientists are like “well you were at the sink! they were at the table!” oh ok. we’re getting departed based off our longitude and latitude now. okay.

so where is she meant to feel safe in the world. because it’s not like “departure hot spots” were identified BEFORE. the idea that these hot spots exists only comes afterwards. so where are you meant to feel safe. well maybe if it happens again the same “hot spots” will be relevant. so you have to go somewhere without any “hot spots”. a place where the location guarantees your safety.

except you get there and the next night three girls disappear. and you keep telling everyone it wasn’t a second departure (because the idea that the sudden departure could happen again terrifies you. but the idea that it could happen again at any moment is also motivating every choice you make.) and no one’s listening. and then scientists start talking about a new theory. what if the departure wasn’t location based. what if certain people acted as lenses magnifying the likeness of someone departing?

what if your entire family got taken from you so you ran away hoping to feel safe and now people are hypothesizing that the common variable causing these departures is you :) you’re the danger!! :)

How close was Bramblestar to accepting Hawkfrost's deal in this? Since isn't it Mothwing who intervenes and it's only then when Bramblestar makes his choice to fight Hawkfrost.

He was considering it. But not much differently from canon. If left to his own devices, he would have hesitated for about the same amount of time before deciding killing his leader was too far.

See like... BB!Bramblestar means a lot to me in that he didn't have to become what he did. He will lie and let others take the fall for him, blame everyone else for his own faults, but he MINDS being a bad person. He's capable of love and kindness, occasionally says something very wise, and can display compassion...

But he doesn't. He might not cross a threshold into killing someone for power, but he'll still abuse and control his mate. He'll disown his kids on learning he was lied to, and is too proud to apologize and the bridge becomes too burnt to even try. He CAN be better, GOD he's SO close to it.

But he never does. And... you can't do anything about that.

But in THAT moment, it matters. He hesitates, but still jumps to Firestar's defense. Mothwing moved quicker, and he's ashamed of that.
